Otto Bauer (Interview)

A veteran now in his lucky-13th year in the industry, actor and director Otto Bauer got his start performing for Rick Savage in the streets of NYC in 1994. Since then, he’s lived a dozen lives in porn, but most recently he’s become known as one of the fastest-rising gonzo directors in the industry. With distribution rights for his unique Supercore series recently reacquired from Mach 2 Entertainment, Bauer’s found a happy home at Ninnworx.

It’s a natural marriage — Bauer’s love for moody lighting, rich textures, and atmosphere that drips results in a gonzo video that looks somewhere between a fine-art Italian horror film and a cyberpunk comic book cover. But Bauer doesn’t get bogged down with the arty stuff — rather, he uses it in the service of his own dark brand of visceral, edgy eroticism, showcasing sex so rough it wouldn’t fit anywhere except in a movie that looks like Cocteau’s sexiest nightmare.
