Arse Electronica This Weekend!

If you are in San Francisco, please come and join me Arse Electronika tomorrow and Sunday — actually it starts tonight, but I’m not going to be able to make it until tomorrow. I’m hosting a panel with Kyle from Slashdong, Violet Blue and Arse organizer Johannes Grenzfurthner on Sunday evening on how technology affects creativity, and have just been asked to participate in another panel, this one on sex ed and technology, Saturday evening.

Monochrom is an art-technology-philosophy group based in Vienna. Their latest project is the Arse Electronika conference in San Francisco, in which a world-class group of performers, thinkers and speakers will explore a variety of topics relating to pornography, technology, and innovation. Speakers at the conference include Sex Machines author Timothy Archibald, Violet Blue, Annalee Newitz, Carol Queen, and yours truly. The conference takes place at Kink.com legendary Porn Palace, so you can get your think on in the sexy dungeon environs and maybe sneak back to the stable for a whinny.

For this, I am going to be missing Tease-O-Rama. I can also fantasize that I am missing the Skin Two Rubber Ball, but I haven’t been to London for ten years so my “missing” it whine is kinda weak.

I will also be missing the Blue Angels, or rather I hope they will be missing me along with all the bridges, skyscrapers and telephone poles they’ll be flying between, beneath, under, around and hopefully not through. I’m sure Chris Daly will be pouting.
