The Flammarion Woodcut, from Wikipedia. This woodcut, of unknown origin, first appears in an 1888 book. A 1957 source claims it’s from Germany in the 16th Century. It depicts a traveller sticking his head through the sky to inspect the workings of the universe. Been there!
